I Need to Wake Up最近，美国前副总统戈尔（Al Gore）亲自参与演出和制作的纪录片《难以忽视的真相》（An Inconvenient Truth）正陆续开始在一些国家上映。这部纪录片，是戈尔先生近年来致力于推动大众对全球变暖问题的研究和重视所做努力的一部分。在这部戈尔相当重视的影片中，邀请了美国著名女歌手玛丽萨-艾瑟里奇（Melissa Etheridge）为之创作和演唱影片主题歌《我需要清醒》（I Need to Wake Up）。
