演艺事业： Aaliyah生于美国纽约，10岁时在身为声乐家的母亲的鼓励下，参加美国电视节目《Star Search》，虽然最终没有获胜，但并不影响她在演唱方面继续前进；1994年15岁的Aaliyah发表个人首张专辑《Age Ain't Nothing But a Number》并短短几个月内取得白金销量，这张专辑制作人兼作曲者是大名鼎鼎的R&B天王R.Kelly。其中单曲《Back and Forth》连续3周蝉联排行榜最热R&B歌曲第一名。专辑在美国本土大卖250万张，并在全球创下600万销量。

　　17岁Aaliyah发表第二张专辑《One in a Million》，这张专辑奠定了她在演唱方面的地位，也让当时默默无闻的制作人Missy Elliott和Timbaland迎来了事业的春天。专辑全球销量超过千万张，许多单曲更是成为各大排行榜常客。不仅如此，Aaliyah同时开始她的模特生涯，她签约经纪公司，开始走秀和接商业活动。次年Aaliyah为福克斯动画片《Anastasia》配唱主题曲《Journey to the Past》并凭借此曲提名艾美奖，在1998年的艾美奖颁奖礼上，她成为有史以来最年轻的演唱嘉宾。

　　2001年Aaliyah回归乐坛并带来了第三张个人同名专辑《Aaliyah》，专辑里添加许多音乐元素：灵魂、芬克、电子、拉丁等，全球共卖出1200万张，仅美国就超出400万的最终销量不得不让人对这位R&B小天后的音乐品质刮目相看，这张专辑同时为她在次年赢得两项重要大奖：“最受欢迎女歌手”和“最受欢迎RNB专辑”。2001年8月25日，才华横溢的R&B女歌手Aaliyah死于空难，年仅22岁，当年她获得了葛莱美两项提名。当时她乘坐的双引擎Cessna飞机在巴哈马降落时失事，之后在几公里外的Abaco岛为几位遇难者验尸的是Giovander Raju医生。

　　2001年出演华纳公司的影片《吸血鬼女王》，阿里亚去世时该片还在拍摄之中，所幸阿丽雅在本片中的大部分镜头已经拍竣，况且2002年的电脑科技已经突飞猛进，《吸血鬼女王》的制作组再特地找来阿丽雅的哥哥日沙德Rashad，为阿丽雅未完成的对白录音收尾。据说日沙德的声线与妹妹极其相似，加之电脑处理之后，这次相信真的可以让观众完全察觉不到主角的缺席了。
